All the Aca Details

It's back!!! A Cappella Arkansas had such an amazing inaugural event that region 2 is bringing it back and it's right around the corner.  This years invitational will be held on Saturday September 21.   Register by September 16 to secure participation.

This aca happening, Beebe High School, promises to be a transformative event and will provide directors, students, and groups with a one-of-a-kind hand-on learning contemporary a  cappella experience. This year's event continues to bring Contemporary A Cappella music to the forefront of the

Arkansas scholastic music scene with one its leading educators Dr. Erin Hackel.

Here’s what A Cappella Arkansas Provides:

  • The festival meets the needs of every a cappella lover. There are tracks for all a cappella enthusiasts from veteran performance groups, novice performance groups, and individuals who may not be in a group yet but would love to sing in a large festival vocal band

  • Festival is designed to allow directors to actually come sit and get alongside their students.

  • Festival will empower every performer for success and an incredibly positive music experience that they will never forget and can build upon

  • The first 10 groups that register will get to perform solo with expertly mixed sound system during the A Cappella Arkansas Invitational Concert evening concert. Each group will also receive a 25 minute long masterclass with an experienced and veteran a cappella director

  • The next 10 groups that register will get to perform aca-pop up off mic performances in an acoustically friendly space in front of the entire festival audience in between sessions.

  • We will offer vocal percussion mini lessons to all vocal percussionists

  • Students and teachers will take specialty courses on arranging, teaching vocal percussion, live sound, recording, solo delivery, and more.

  • We will take professional photos of your group on stage.  If you aren’t one of the first 10 groups registered, we will still take professional photos of you in our studio for your promotional use.

  • All attendees will come together to sing the large group closer

  • There will be a festival chorus led by Jim Bob Loyd and the festival chorus song will be "Come Alive," from the hit movie The Greatest Showman.
